Henry Leyva is the Regional Manager for the Santa Clarita Valley on staff for
the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC).
Mr. Leyva was hired in 2003 to coordinate and add attraction programs to existing retention and expansion efforts in the Santa Clarita Valley. Mr. Leyva has been assigned to work with the Santa Clarita Valley Economic Alliance in promoting business retention, expansion and attraction.
The Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) is a private, not-for-profit membership organization whose mission is leadership in the retention and creation of jobs and economic base in the Los Angeles area.
Prior to working for the LAEDC Mr. Leyva served as an Economic Development Representative for the City of Los Angeles under MayorŐs Richard J. Riordon and James K. Hahn. Prior to working for the Mayors Office of Economic Development Mr. Leyva was a Business Development Representative for the East Los Angeles Minority Business Development Center.
Henry Leyva is a southern California Native, having grown up in East Los Angeles. Mr. Leyva graduated from UCLA with a bachelors Degree in History and is also a master degree candidate in Urban Planning at UCLA.
